General:

  • Yes, absolutely! Child and family tickets are available.

  • Sorry, you can’t camp at World’s Edge Fantasy Fayre, but there are some great campsites in the area - check out our partnership with Sparrows above.

  • Only service dogs are allowed at World’s Edge Fantasy Fayre.

  • Yes! Tickets will be available on the day. Please note that tickets are not unlimited and may sell out at some point on the day.

  • No, but if you book and then can’t make it, you are free to gift or sell your ticket to someone else.

  • Lots of people do dress up, so if you decide to, you’ll be in good company!

    But if you don’t, you won’t be alone either. The festival isn’t just for people who are big fantasy and sci-fi fans - you’re also welcome if you just fancy seeing what it’s all about.

  • Cosplay or costume does not imply consent for photos, touch or personal interaction. Ask first.

    If someone asks you to stop, you stop. If someone asks not to be photographed, you must respect that immediately.

    Please read the Behaviour, Costume and Weapons policy.

  • Please check the costume policy, particularly if you are considering something that’s gory, erotic, scary or potentially offensive. We will remove or refuse entry without refund to anyone in breach of this policy.

  • Yes. The organisers, Paladin Events, will have a photographer and videographer at the event, and others are likely to take photos for personal use.
    Check the photography policy for more info, and please don’t bring any drones or equipment bigger than a phone/handheld camera without permission.

  • Yes!

  • Not yet! If enough people ask for it, merch will magically appear… so let us know on social media if that’s something you’d like.

  • Weapons in general are not allowed. However, we understand that replicas and weapon-adjacent objects can form part of costumes and displays. If you are considering bringing anything that is or looks like a weapon, it is vital that you read and abide by our Weapons Policy. We will remove or refuse entry without refund to anyone in breach of this policy.

  • Please complete the entertainers’ application form.

  • Please fill in our traders’ application form.

  • Please fill in our caterers’ form.

  • You’re welcome to volunteer at the Fayre! If you do, you’ll be asked to work for one day and be given a free ticket for the other day. Volunteer places are limited in number. Please fill in the volunteer form to apply.

  • If at all possible, please find and bring your ticket so that queues move smoothly and everyone can get into the event swiftly. A paper printout or the QR code on a phone screen is fine.

    However, if you are really stuck, speak to the staff on the gate and they will look you up in the system by your name and address.

    Please do not email us at this stage with lost ticket queries as our admin team is now very busy with event setup.

  • World’s Edge Fantasy Fayre is organised by Paladin Events Ltd, an events company based in Essex.

Accessibility:

  • If you are an adult (16+) who needs a personal assistant, they do not have to pay. You can no longer get carers’ tickets in advance, but you can collect them at the gate if you bring along a document showing that you need a carer.     All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.

  • Blue Badge parking for advance ticketholders is now booked out. You will need to bring your Blue Badge on the day and show it to the car parking team with your ticket.

    Some spaces remain in the Blue Badge ticket area for those parking on the day. The designated Blue Badge area is limited to 60 spaces. If we run out, staff will park you in the most accessible spaces available outside this area, close to the path.

  • Yes. Most areas have step-free access, including the main buildings. Some surfaces may be slightly uneven. The car park surface is loose chippings. Please check AccessAble for full details of the site.

  • Sorry, there is no hearing assistance system at Cressing Temple Barns.

  • Yes, there are water points.

  • Yes.

  • We have designed the fayre layout so that you are never too far from a loo. You’ll be able to check the map when it’s ready, but it should never be more than a minute’s walk.

  • There will be crowds and there may be some loud noises during performances. However, there will also be quiet areas of the site with fewer people where you can relax in nature.
    There will also be a designated, staffed sensory quiet tent with headphones, fidget devices, low light and seating where you can go if you feel overwhelmed.

  • First Aid will be stationed at the heart of the site and clearly marked on maps. Head there or speak to one of the festival staff or volunteers, who wil be clearly visible.
